Sylvia has cruised on most of the small – 660 passengers or less – ships that
are on the water today. It is the ability to go to the newest ports, as they open
up to the world, and the education you can get, that entices her, especially if
the ship stops somewhere in Africa, as Sylvia is a Travel & Leisure Magazine African
specialist, having traveled there over 19 times
Sylvia started in the cruise business in 1991 by opening Forever Cruising. She
realizes that cruising means different things to different people. For many of
her clients it is the ability to get into small, interesting ports of call on
a small ship. Their interests are in lecturers, classes in cooking or Pilates,
and eating when they want, where they want. Others feel more comfortable in a
large ship that provides incredible evening entertainment, big casinos, shopping
options on board, and a chance to meet people from all over the world. The bigger
the better.

The hardest part of selling cruises has always been knowing which cruise line
and which ship are right for which client. This is one of Ruth's areas of expertise.
Whether around the corner, in the Caribbean, or around the world, Ruth can plan
your pre or post cruise packages as well as your cruise.
Although Ruth started her travel career with a major bus tour operator, she came
to Post Haste Travel to be the manager of Forever Cruising, its cruise division.
Since 1991 she has increased her cruise knowledge, which is evident in the accuracy
of putting her clients on the "right ship".

When I moved from Boston 30 years ago, I never thought that I would be having
so much fun selling cruises...yes, cruises from around the world. I get great
satisfaction when my returning clients tell me what a fabulous cruise vacation
they had with the whole family... I feel like I am selling dreams, not cruises...
I was bitten by the cruise bug about 10 years ago. I decided that I had to
sharpen and fine tune my knowlege and experiences to enhance my skills in selling
cruise travel vacations. I try to explain to my clients that I am selling them
an experience that can only feel or witnessed inorder to place these experiences
into a wonderful photo album of memories... I love working with charities, family
reunions and individuals looking for something out of the ordinary...

Debbie got her start in the travel industry as a reservation agent with Eastern
Airlines. She moved quickly into the retail side of travel, expanding her knowledge
and expertise of the industry. A two year position with GoGo Tours in wholesale
travel added another dimension to her experience. Debbie joined Post Haste Travel
in 1992, specializing in the cruise side of the trade. Her knowledge has been
reinforce by her personal travel experiences to many parts of the world, both
on land and by sea. She enjoys bringing small or large groups of families and
friends together for cruises, all-inclusive resorts and the famous Disney World.
Debbie lends that personal touch by escorting groups whenever possible. She will
be doing so again in October on the Oceania Cruiseline.
